A turquoise lagoon protected by Saharan dunes, paradise for flamingos and kitesurfers. One of Morocco's most pristine natural sites.
Boujdour Lagoon is one of Morocco's best-kept secrets. Protected by a long strip of Saharan dunes plunging into the Atlantic, it forms a calm body of water with turquoise and emerald hues of striking beauty.
It is an internationally important site for migratory birds: flamingos, spoonbills, herons and waders stop here by the thousands on the Europe-Africa migratory route.
Shallow waters and constant winds also make it a world-renowned kitesurfing and windsurfing spot, still preserved from over-tourism.
